@Asteraceae Actually, i found out that there's no consensus on the matter, other concerned people find "people with disability" offensive, so i don't really know.
Ceinture noire de cas raté.

J'ai déjà essayé de dépasser mon handicap, mais il est plus rapide que moi.

Fair enough, I just checked and in the UK they indeed prefer to use disabled people and the other way around is more used in the US (weirdly enough I think my work place. In the UK, uses the US way)...
As a foreigner I feel it's sometimes quite hard to know what's the proper spelling or way of saying things, especially that we watch a lot os US movies and series ... I try to force myself to use the British words but habits die hards ... (Like using Xmas jumper instead of Xmas sweater and biscuits instead of cookies , or chips instead of fries... )

I've seen a video saying a recent study found that eating 6 prunes a day helps postmenopausal women keeping bones' density and my brain didn't translate prunes in French so I was "but where can I find fresh "prunes" in winter?" :hesite: And then I had a doubt and checked: English "prune" in French "pruneau", and French "prune" is English "plum". Much easier finding "pruneau" all year long

@Portnawak 6 a day ?! I bet it "helps" with intestinal transit too
I didn't want to miss my sewing class on Thursday night but my mom is having her retirement party on Friday at lunchtime and it's a 5-6h drive away so it's really not reasonable to leave at 9pm. If I skip it we can leave at 6pm, sleep at my sister's and go to her work in the morning ~1h30 away.

I just discovered The Art of the Costume Podcast, which is all about film and TV costumes (a topic I absolutely love). How did I miss it for so long
? I'm just finishing the episode on Pride & Prejudice right now, and it's making me want to rewatch it for the thousandth time.

Great!
I think that finding precisely the kind of content you would love is the key to listening a speech in a language you don't master. The most interesting the podcast, the more I can listen without losing interest because I am tired, so thanks for the reference.
There is two podcasts that I listen to in english which are about bordgames:
The first is boardgames mechanics and talk of how games works, new games and lists of games by types.
The second is the podcast of the board game geek website: the board game geek podcast. The hostess is extremely enthousiast and presents new games, conventions and authors interviews.

@Lysae do you listen to your podcasts on a music streaming app or do you have a dedicated app ? Maybe I should find some in BR-portuguese so I can learn some new vocabulary and keep up my skills.
We have started watching season 2 of The Pitt, I thought the whole season was out and we could binge watch to our heart's content but we just finished episode 12 and the rest are not out yet
I also caught up with my New Zealand show that I watch when my boyfriend is away for work, so now I'm playing Clair Obscur Expédition 33 when I'm alone at home.

@Onirinaute I mainly use deezer (an app) to listen to podcasts, but a lot of them are also available on websites.
To train my portuguese I listen to the podcast of rio and learn: https://rioandlearn.com/portuguese-podcast/
And the youtube "the portuguese teacher"
When I'm very motivated I try listening to the podcast and channels of BBC brasil. But my level is very low so no specialisation here

@Onirinaute I thought all the episodes of The Pitt were out as I've seen so many posts about the "last" episode's events (I've not read them but I've seen pictures).

@Portnawak I thought so too but there are 3 left, the last one will be on april 16th
and I'm pretty sure they are only going to get more and more intense and stressful so the wait is going to be unbearable
At least I'm all up to date so I can read up on fan theories I guess.
